Ray S. Phipps is the President and CEO of Bible Living Ministries, Inc. He and his wife Wilma dedicated most of their professional careers toward the education of Native Americans on Indian Reservations in the United States. Ray received his B. S. in Elementary Education (1960) at Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, Indiana. The M. A. in Educational Administration (1967) and Ed. D. in Educational Administration (1971) were earned at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Wilma received her B. S. in Elementary Education at Indiana Wesleyan University.
Ray has taught from kindergarten to college graduate levels. Most of his professional experience, however, has been in the area of school administration. He served more than twenty years as a tribally employed superintendent of schools for Native Americans. Other experience has included production management at RCA and military service with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Ray and Wilma have ministered in many different denominational and independent church settings for the past twenty plus years. Although Ray was not ordained as a minister most of those years, they were well received as they ministered in formal and informal settings. They lived and worked with the conviction and confidence that every day, on or off the job, was a day of ministry. Their lives exemplified the thought that Christians are to go into the entire world and preach the gospel and if necessary use words.
The focus of their lives has been and is to project the living Christ and His life into the world around them in ways that demonstrate the teachings of Jesus in their actions, reactions, impressions made and by the words they say.
